High school physics and sometimes chemistry teacher. Nerd. Geek. Gamer. Trumpet player.
At various points in my life I wanted to be a veterinarian, a superhero, a writer, a musician, and an engineer but ended up a teacher. I love all physical sciences, am horrified by most life sciences, and accept math as a necessary evil. I like my movies full of technobabble, snark, and really big explosions. Even so, I own a frightening number of chick flicks. I like dark chocolate far more than is probably good for me. I sometimes eat my cereal with orange juice instead of milk. My dice have a tendency to roll on an inverted bell curve.
I've been told that I'm a very strange person who's prone to fits of normalcy. That seems about right.
So why Brasslizard? Brass should be fairly self explanatory (see above). The lizard bit, well, several reasons. First, it's a play on my name (Liz). Second, lizards are cold blooded animals that DIE when exposed to low temperatures. I freeze in temps below 75 F. Finally, it's an oblique reference to my appreciation of the fantasy genre (dragons).
